AL-FATIHAH –
SAYA INGIN MERAKAMKAN UCAPAN TAKZIAH KEPADA KELUARGA ALLAHYARHAM TUAN HAJI MOKHTAR, SEMOGA ROHNYA DICUCURI RAHMAT ALLAH SWT DAN DITEMPATKAN BERSAMA ORANG ORANG YANG SOLEH DAN BERIMAN

Yet another friend taken from my life this morning. He passed away at the Ampang Hospital after going into coma for more than 2 weeks. He was a bit like my big brother. Always doing something even in his old age. It was really sad to see him so helpless in the hospital bed. I last saw him day before yesterday and he woke up from his 15 days coma and I talked, held his hand, wipe sweat from his forehead and tears from his eyes.... I knew he was wanting to say something. .. didn’t expect that he woke up to say goodbye. Praying he was going to recover. A few hours after my visit he went back into coma, and never recover.

Just 3 months back I visited his home, and he was already not feeling too good, easily tired and experiencing back pain. We talked and I “reported” to him on the latest development and who doings what (as best as I could)…

As Muslim we accepted the inevitable. I’ll always remember the time we talk about 1-computer- for a person his age I admired him for his knowledge on the latest in computer tech. And he mentioned he would like to go into business in this field. Which he did; 2-smoking- between a non smoker and a heavy smoker. He did said “bos bersyukur le tak de keinginan merokok, saya dah tak boleh berenti”; 3- red spray paint- I requested that he take it easy with the red spray paint which he used frequently to indicate rejected portion of the constructed building.

He was a very sporting guy going along with all the craps from the young guys. I had fond memories of him and will miss him. We will pray for you. Al-fathihah.

Saying Inna Lillah is a form of worship. This is to adopt the attitude of surrendering to God’s will instead of complaining against fate. It is to convert the loss into a new discovery. This phrase, ‘We are from God and to God we shall return’ is, in short, an acknowledgment of God's godhead on the part of His servants.

SAYA BARU TERIMA PANGGILAN TELEFON DARI ISTERI TUAN HAJI MOHKTAR PAGI INI (beliau baru jumpa no. HP saya), YANG MEMAKLUMKAN BAHAWA SAUDARA KITA TELAH DIMASUKKAN KE HOSPITAL AMPANG (buka Ampang Putri) 2 MINGGU LEPAS DISERANG STROKE DAN SEKARANG DALAM KEADAAN KOMA.
MARI LAH KITA SAMA SAMA DOAKAN AGAR BELIAU PULIH SEGERA.
SAYA INSYAALLAH AKAN KE HOSPITAL PADA 11.30 PAGI INI. SESIAPA YANG INGIN BERJUMPA/ BERSAMA KE SANA HARAP DAPAT HUBUNGI SAYA. BELIAU DI HOSPITAL AMPANG, WAD ICU TINGKAT 3.
MARI LAH KITA SAMA SAMA DOAKAN AGAR BELIAU AKAN PULIH SEGERA.

SUSULAN DARI BERITA SEDIH YANG DITERIMA PAGI SEMALAM, SAYA TELAH MAKLUMKAN ISTERI TUAN HAJI BAHAWA SAYA TAK DAPAT MELAWAT BELIAU PADA PAGI SEMALAM ATAS SEBAB HUJAN LEBAT DAN AKAN CUBA KE HOSPITAL LEPAS WAKTU PEJABAT. SAYA TELAH TIBA KE WAD ICU HOSPITAL AMPANG PADA PUKUL 6.45 PTG, DAN TERUS KE WAD BERKENAAN UNTUK MENCARI KATIL BELIAU. SAYA TELAH DIBERITAHU BAHAWA WAKTU MELAWAT TELAH HAMPIR BERAKHIR DAN LAWATAN HANYA UNTUK WAKTU SEKEJAP DAN HANYA 2 ORANG SERENTAK SAHAJA DIBENARKAN. SAYA TERUS CARI KATIL NOMBOR 10 DAN DAPATI ISTERINYA ADA BERSAMA HJ MOKHTAR PADA MASA ITU. BELIAU JUGA HANYA DAPAT JUMPA HJ MOKHTAR SEKEJAP SAHAJA OLEH KERANA TERDAPAT ANAK-ANAK DAN SAUDARA LAIN YANG TUNGGU UNTUK MENZIARAH.
SEMASA DALAM PERJALANAN SAYA DENGAN SAYU BERDOA AGAR SAYA AKAN DIBENARKAN BERJUMPA DENGAN HJ MOKHTAR, WALAUPUN BELIAU SEDANG KOMA, OLEH KERANA KERAP KALI PERSAKIT ICU HANYA DIBENARKAN DILAWATI OLEH KELUARGA TERDEKAT SAHAJA. ALHAMDULILLAH SAYA TELAH DAPAT BERJUMPA BELIAU..... DAN PALING MENGEMBIRAKAN IALAH PADA LAWATAN SAYA, BELIAU TELAH MULA SEDAR DARI KOMA YANG DIALAMI SEMENJAK 15 HARI YANG LEPAS. BELIAU MUNGKIN AKAN DIPINDAHKAN KE WAD LAIN AGAR KAUM KELUARGA DAPAT MENJAGA BELIAU, DI MANA DI WAD ICU TIDAK DIBENARKAN SESIAPA MENEMANI PERSAKIT.
BELIAU DALAM KEADAAN SEDAR DENGAN MATA TERBUKA DAN JARI DAPAT BERGERAK, CUMA TIDAK DAPAT BERCAKAP. BELIAU NAMPAK LETIH DAN DALAM KEADAAN TIDAK SELESA DAN SAKIT SEMASA CUBA BERNAFAS. SAYA BISIKKAN PESANAN KAWAN-KAWAN DAN JUGA DARI ROBERT DAN AGAR SENTIASA INGATKAN ALLAH BERDOA DAN BERSABAR.
DALAM PERJALANAN KE HOSPITAL TERFIKIR UNTUK MENGAMBIL GAMBARFOTO UNTUK DIHANTAR KEPADA KAWAN-KAWAN, TETAPI APABILA TENGOK KEADAAN BELIAU DALAM KEADAAN KESAKITAN TAK SAMPAI HATI PULAK. DENGAN PERASAN AMAT INSAF, SAYU DAN SEBAK SAYA RASA TAK DAPAT MENAHAN LAGI PERASAAN MAKA SAYA SEGERA BISIKKAN SALAM DAN MINTA DIRI.
SAMA-SAMA LAH KITA DOAKAN SEMOGA HJ MOKHTAR AKAN PULIH SEGERA, DAPAT KEMBALI KE RUMAH UNTUK MENYAMBUT RAMADAN INSYAALAH.

1. Riding our superbike through a very dark stormy night from KL to Ipoh, and survived.
2. His talents and special ability to smell for best food around Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh Penang… any where lah
3. Untiring and passionate organizer for the annual berbuka puasa for his comrade at the site office… thank you
4. The heartbreaking period he had to face the predicament pertaining to his ailing mother.
5. Laughing about having to bring umbrella to his faithful but leaking Mitsubishi.
6. Buying an expensive mattress in the hope of seeing him becoming a millionaire and one day flying me of to an expensive lunch in a posh restaurant in Washington.
7. Bayan Baru projects, which is adjacent to the airport, and the close call for allowing the mobile crane going vertical right in the middle of the flight path.
8. Always have the family at the top of his priority and a very very family kind of person
9. Site office’s joker and entertainer, assisting in reducing work stress, through laughter.
10. A sensitive and easily sulk…. sulking to those he love at the site office, a process of expressing this complex and sensitive emotion.
